The New England Highway is closed at Willow Tree, north of Scone, while a truck is being salvaged after a crash yesterday near Colly Creek Road.
The highway is closed between Willow Tree and Wallabadah.
Motorists can divert via Kamilaroi Highway and Wallabadah Road in both directions.
This diversion adds about 40 minutes to travel times.
Motorists should also follow the directions of transport crews on site.
