St Joseph’s Catholic College presents Beauty and the Beast
In 2026, St Joseph’s Catholic College will be transporting the Upper Hunter community into a tale as old as time, in their school-based production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast! The musical follows the story of Belle, an intelligent but odd damsel-in-distress, who is captured by a terrible Beast! The Beast, a prince, must convince Belle to fall in love with him before the last petal of the curse rose falls, otherwise, he will remain a beast forever.
St Joseph’s has a strong presence in the creative culture of the Upper Hunter community, highlighting student talent and passion for the creative and performing arts through bi-annual showcases, involvement in diocesan productions such as Diosounds and ASPIRE, whole-school musicals and running workshops with community organisations such as InterActs. We believe school musicals provide students an invaluable opportunity to develop their confidence and performance skills, in a like-minded creative space.
Tickets are officially on sale for SJCCA’s Beauty and the Beast now! Performance dates are Friday 3rd July @ 7pm, and Saturday 4th July @ 2pm and 7pm!
