Muswellbrook Shire Council has advised residents that its bulky waste collection service is running behind schedule due to larger-than-expected volumes.
Council says collection crews are continuing their rounds across the shire and has thanked residents for their patience while the clean‑up progresses.
Residents are being reminded the bulky waste service operates as a multi‑pass collection, with different trucks assigned to different materials.
General waste is collected by one vehicle, while steel, fridges, e‑waste and mattresses are picked up separately by specialist trucks.
Council says while some items may remain on the kerb for longer than expected, all eligible bulky waste will be collected as crews work through the increased workload.
