An investigation is underway after a man died following a crash at Largs, near Maitland, this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Flat Road about 12:20pm on Thursday following reports a man had been struck by a vehicle.
NSW Ambulance paramedics commenced CPR, however the man could not be revived and died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
The driver, a 32‑year‑old woman, was not injured but was taken to Maitland Hospital for mandatory testing.
Port Stephens–Hunter police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Flat Road remains closed in both directions and is expected to be closed for some time.
