“The Night Manager” is Finally Getting Season 2 – A Decade Later

We are finally getting a second season of one of the best shows on TV Ten years after we experienced it’s surprise awesomeness! Yes, The Night Manager has dropped an official teaser trailer. The initial three episodes will launch globally on Prime Video (excluding the UK) and on BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Sundays, culminating in the season finale on February 1.

The story will take place eight years following the explosive first season finale, the Emmy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA Award-winning global sensation, The Night Manager, makes its triumphant return. Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston (Loki, The Life of Chuck) reprises his iconic role as former British intelligence operative Jonathan Pine, additionally serving as an executive producer. Filmed across diverse locations including the UK, Spain, Colombia, and France, the new season plunges Pine, now living as Alex Goodwin, into a perilous new mission to expose a conspiracy threatening to destabilize an entire nation.

The second season sees the return of Academy Award winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Crown) in her BAFTA-winning role as Angela Burr. They are joined by a formidable roster of new talent, including Golden Globe nominee Diego Calva (Babylon, Narcos: Mexico) and Emmy nominee Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six). Further additions to the cast include Indira Varma (Obsession, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Paul Chahidi (Wicked Little Letters, The Serpent Queen), and Hayley Squires (Adult Material, Beau Is Afraid). Season One veterans Alistair Petrie (Sex Education, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Douglas Hodge (Joker, Black Mirror), Michael Nardone (Traces, Rome), and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Honey Boy) also reprise their roles.

Inspired by characters created by John le Carré, The Night Manager Season Two is created and executive produced by David Farr and entirely directed by BAFTA winner Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie, Paper Girls). The series is a production of the award-winning London and LA-based independent studio The Ink Factory (The Pigeon Tunnel, The Little Drummer Girl), in association with Character 7, Demarest Films, 127 Wall, and Spanish co-producer Nostromo Pictures.

Stephen Garrett of Character 7 returns as Lead Executive Producer, as he did for Season One. Other Executive Producers include Stephen and Simon Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, and Tessa Inkelaar for The Ink Factory; Joe Tsai and Arthur Wang for 127 Wall; Adrián Guerra for Nostromo Pictures; Georgi Banks-Davies, Hugh Laurie, and Tom Hiddleston; William D. Johnson for Demarest Films; Nick Cornwell for John le Carré; Susanne Bier; Chris Rice for FIFTH SEASON; and Gaynor Holmes for the BBC.

The Night Manager Season Two Synopsis

Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) believed his past was behind him. Living as Alex Goodwin, a low-level MI6 officer overseeing a quiet surveillance unit in London, his existence was deliberately unremarkable. However, a chance encounter with a former Roper mercenary shatters his peace, thrusting Pine into a violent confrontation with a formidable new adversary: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva).

As Pine embarks on this dangerous new path, he encounters Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a businesswoman coerced into assisting his infiltration of Teddy’s illicit Colombian arms operation. Arriving in Colombia, Pine finds himself entangled in a deadly plot involving weapons trafficking and the training of a guerrilla army. With loyalties fractured and betrayal lurking at every turn, Pine must race against time to unearth a conspiracy poised to destabilize a nation, all while determining whom to trust and how far he is willing to go before it’s too late.
