Police appeal for witnesses after Bridge Street fire

Hunter Valley Police are asking the community for help after a house was engulfed in flames last Friday.

At 8.20pm on Friday 15/08/25 Emergency Services were called to reports of a house fire in Bridge Street, Muswellbrook. Fire & Rescue NSW units from Muswellbrook, Aberdeen & Scone, RFS, police and paramedics attended to find the house well alight with the fire spreading to an adjoining house.

It was determined both properties were vacant and no persons were inside. The fire took about two hours to extinguish.

NSW Police forensic officers attended the following day and have determined the fire to be suspicious in nature. Muswellbrook detectives are seeking any information from members of the public in the area at the time or who may have information to give to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Detectives are also interested to speak to a teenage male seen in the vicinity at the time the fire started.
