RESEARCH SHOWS HALF OF FIRST HOME OWNERS NEED TO REFINANCE HOME LOANS

New research shows nearly half of first home owners across the country who entered the market less than two years ago will have to refinance their home loans.

The survey commissioned by LJ Hooker Fiance showed out of those planning to refinance their home loans, 20 per cent were concerned over interest rates, with a further 17 per cent looking to refinance in order to consolidate their debts.

Chief Executive of LJ Hooker Janusz Hooker says after the 2011 interest rate cuts, home owners are closely watching the market to see what will happen next.

Locals are advised to see their broker or lender in order to assess their current loan and get help in achieving their financial goals.
